So, I did a Google search on "lemonlye" (egosurfing, they call it), and it turned up a few blogs in which people had posted my TTT parody, which is neat. But here's the awesome and hilarious one: someone translated the whole thing into Portugeuse.

Not only does this give me a glow of interlingual happiness, but it has provided us all with the indispensable gift of how to say "You're just jealous because I'm pretty" in Portugeuse.

Peguem alguns cavalos.

Yeah, it's Portuguese. Incidentally, I wanted to mention that I thought your parody was inspired and brilliant, and that reading it through no fault of your own has prompted me to add you to my friends list. I hope that's alright.

Someone translated my 'Middle-Earth chatroom' into Spanish (I think. French? I suck at languages). I can't speak the language, but I'm a little proud to have something now titled 'La Compagnia dell'Anello in chat'

ShireGardener: Sto bene, signor Frodo. L'Ovest vi si piace?
Frodo4eva: Beh, gli elfi sono molto piacevoli. A Merry però non piacerebbe.... niente carote.
ShireGardener: Oh è una vergogna.

Um...yeah

Aziraphale! From Good Omens? I was using that for a chatroom name, once, years ago. I love angel names...they're always so cool and otherworldly.

So yeah, it's fine, welcome. :) And thanks for the compliments, and for verifying the Portugeuse. I was about 99% sure that's what it was. Guess I can go back now and edit the entry to remove the line in which doubt is expressed.

Ahh, yes, that's Italian. Which I'm happy to see, because I can actually kind of read Italian.

Merry doesn't like the elves because they don't have carrots, eh? Hehehe...

(OK, so Inigo Montoya spoke Spanish, not Portugeuse, but hey...)

Ah, yes, that's been posted on [livejournal.com profile] lordoftherings... And I generally like Mr Bush, but I'll admit that they did a nice Photoshop job on it. :)

Ohhh... that does indeed open a rich vein of parodic crossover... :D

Just some for instancing:

- If Fezzini kidnapped Arwen, would Aragorn be able to best his Spaniard and his giant?
- Does this mean that after Cirith Ungol Sam can take Frodo to Miracle Max?
- If Sam, Frodo and Gollum all stood on each other's shoulders, could they pretend to be the Dread Pirate Roberts?

How funny! Someone translated our publisher's pipu page into Spanish (link) (http://216.239.35.120/translate_c?hl=es&sl=en&u=http://www.wonderella.com/pamphlets/pipu.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3DEvil-BoT%26hl%3Des%26sa%3DG).

Oohh, boy, don't even tempt me...

heheh...all of those are great images...and also, Treebeard's angry shout upon seeing the stumps at Isengard sounded quite a bit like the Sound of Ultimate Suffering.

Plus, the Dead Marshes sure look a lot like the Fire Swamp. "Rodentssss of unusual size? We don't believe they exist, no, preciousss."

Aww, this has been such entertainment, I hate to see it go. *grin*

But, seriously, sure, I will go right ahead and delete it. It will probably just invite too many extraneous comments anyway. ("My sister knew someone who plagiarized a term paper once; they got expelled! It sucked!")

Hehe...consider it gone. *snap fingers magically*

Thank you. Makes sure we don't get anyone new leaping into the fray when the fire is all nice and cool and everything has been straightened out and settled. Don't want to have to do even more damage control.

And thanks again for writing the parody, BTW. I'm pretty sure I commented at the time I first read it, but heck. It definitely, truly is the best TTT parody I've seen, ever, and I've seen a lot.

I figure we can leave these few comments here, without inciting too much extra discussion...

Yup, that's me. I've been using this name ever since I read the book. It's esoteric enough for me to use it without having to tack numbers onto the end of it.

But yeah, I dig on angel names too, for the same reasons as you, I think.
