Why, yes, that would be me with the official title page for my thesis signed by all three committee members.




I have to turn in the original copy to Graduate Studies tomorrow, so even though I'm keeping photocopies (duh), I wanted to have the moment captured. No using this to forge my professors' signatures, now.

Well, the title is "Linguistic Etiquette in the U.S.A.: A Sociolinguistic Study of the Linguistic Advice Given in American Etiquette Books and Language Criticism Manuals, 1865-1940." Wherein I examine changing rules of politeness as expressed through language use (formal titles, euphemism, etc.) and suchlike. Not meant to be fascinating or anything, but they signed it and that's all I ask.
