I'd move to Bellingham, WA if I were you for two reasons:

1] One of my all-time favorite bands, Death Cab For Cutie, originated there.

and

2] It is a cute little Main Street-type community not that far from the bustle of Seattle.

I wouldn't object to Bellingham. 'Tis cute, what I've seen of it. Depends how good the job market would be, though...
