An email from the LJ turns 10 moderator person...

Yeah, but they could always show up unexpectedly then to do laundry. So you still have to be on your guard.

Heh. True story: During my first two years of college I had a roommate I'll call Jim. We lived in a fairly large dorm building with a laundry room on the second floor. One day, in the middle of the *second year*, Jim turned to me and said "Naill... Where's the laundry room?"

I hope his ignorance sprang from taking laundry home, rather than just not doing it for whole terms at a time.
