And for the many Jewish folk on my list, a very happy Chanukah! I have no particular familial ties to Judaism, but have long had ties of friendship and respect. Also, yesterday I heard a podcast story about Aaron Lansky, the man who rescued and collected 1.5 million books written in Yiddish, and it warmed my linguist/librarian-wanna-be heart. Apparently he has a book about the whole experience.

Must get back to watching old Buffy episodes.

On Bowie, bioluminescence wouldn't even look weird. He could totally wear it and look great doing so.

Hehe. Indeed, how rude! Don't see why the "friends" part should matter; it obviously uses the interests list to fill in the meme... *shrug*

It does use the "friends" list as well. For example, it offered me "Four lemonlyes". Very silly - I mean, I barely know what to do with *one* lemonlye. What would I do with four? Keep some as backups in case of a power outage? ;-)
