And, no, we're still not moved in yet, but the lion's share of the painting/scraping/scrubbing is done. For now. Think I'll go drop of exhaustion if it's all the same to you.

I have very fond memories of walking to school with Mt. Baker in my view on one side and Mt. Rainier on the other (if it was a really clear day). I lived in Oak Harbor when I was in jr high - it's not just Seattle that's purdy. =)

Oh, I know it's the whole area! I just used "Seattle" as the word because I find it remarkable that you can still be within city limits of the largest city in four states, and get views like that.

Heh...well...raining "so hard"? We don't get that too often, actually. Around here we have this patented soft misty drizzle--which, to answer your question, is present some 187.4 days of the year; a dense marine layer of low clouds, sans actual rain, is present another 132.6, and the remainder of the days are clear. ;)
