I and adorable husband have been away all weekend in the southwesternmost corner of Washington, and northwesternmost corner of Oregon, enjoying the rain and sea-mist and frogs, and the lack of television or internet. [livejournal.com profile] kenshi, thank you and your awesome family for providing the house. No ghosts were sighted and all went well. I have some unpacking to do, but in the meantime, be it known that I've put new desktop scenery from this trip over on Webshots if you want it. Here's the new album so far. I think you guys might especially like the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale. Very fitting for the week leading up to Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Ta ta.

Vertigo-inspiring, isn't it? I was tempted to venture out there, but didn't figure it would be smart. Free ride on a Coast Guard helicopter, though... :)

Yeah that would be a plus, then you could have done some aerial shots.

Lilith.

Thanks! I didn't realize it till looking up the details of the wreck online, but it's one of the most widely photographed shipwrecks in the world, since it's so accessible. Seems easy to find other shots of it.

Aye...it was just the ticket! I see you've got some gallery shots up on Webshots now too. Will have to investigate further...

Thanks! I respected the unusual quality of that soundtrack - and obviously a lot of others did too, considering how popular it became. Good stuff.

Glad you had fun. Did you guys go out to the Rod Run?

We didn't go out to it during the Run itself, but saw plenty of cars around. Someday I'll have to see Long Beach on an ordinary weekend, and witness the intense quiet. :)
