I have lately finished a condensed parody script of Fellowship of the Ring, to go with my previous parody scripts of TTT and ROTK. You can find it over on my all-LOTR journal ([livejournal.com profile] mollyringwraith). So, to sum up:

FOTR parody script

TTT parody script

ROTK parody script.

Am done now.

You just made my day. Thank you.

Have you ever read Bored of the Rings? It was a satirical novela of the entire trilogy written in the 60's. It might have been by the Harvard Lampooon... I forget. Incredibly funny, and eloquently written too.

I've not read it, though I think I probably should, given the number of people who have recommended it to me. :) Sounds like an ambitious project indeed.

"Dildo would have killed Goddam then, but pity stayed his hand. 'It's a pity I've run out of bullets. . .'"

Bored of the Rings is teh r0xx0r. Much like your parodies, which have provided hours and hours of enjoyment. Many thanks.

Hilarious. Best line:

PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE BOOK: You know, it's interesting: even though I've read the book, I have no idea what's going on.

Found a link to this from a Viggo page; was laughing so hard I had to wipe tears away; promptly sent the link to about fifty of my dearest friends, all of them LOTR fans. Whew! That was fun. Thanks.

I've read the TTT-parody ages ago at ninecompanions.net, and when I found the RotK-parody (by chance) I couldn't believe my luck. I printed it out and read it on the train (going to work in the morning).... I can't show myself on that train anymore.... Too embarrassing, really..... I probably entertained (and annoyed) the whole train with my laughing - I just couldn't help myself.

So: Congrats, and you'd have my vote to make it to the front page of TORN anytime!

... *er*... I just wondered if I'm allowed to post your parodies on my website? I'm currently creating one, and I don't think that it will ever get huge and well-known, but I'd still love to upload your work. If I may, that is.

Sorry for the public hilarity. :) And thank you for the praise. Yes, by all means, go ahead and post them. I'm honored!

well, I've finally found the time to html-ize the scripts and now they're online :-) ... here's the link: Faris-Eirin' Nutshell (http://homepage.hispeed.ch/Faris-Eirin/main_humour.html)

Thanks again for allowing me to upload the scripts to my website - I still love them and once more cracked up while hmtl-izing them (after having read them a zillion times).

They look great! Thanks for taking the time to do some prettier formatting. :) Hope you find bunches of good stuff to put there - you seem to have a knack for the layout.

Cheers,
M.

uh-oh... *blush*... thank you very much - especially since html was a closed book to me before setting up this website a couple of weeks ago *g*.

... and if you'd like to use the layout somewhere else; just go ahead.

Read your ROTK parody from a friend's email, then hunted down your homepage, then saw you have a Livejournal :)

Great work! Favourite part was the Aragorn-Legolas "Hey, blow me" scene. Priceless :)
