There has been some paring of the friends list done. Criteria now explained in my userinfo:

Chances are, if you and I can't agree on many things, and if you regularly post more than twice a day, I won't friend you. I prefer to keep my friends list tidy, and if I wanted conflict I'd join [livejournal.com profile] debate. However, unlocked entries are open for anyone to read and comment on, so I don't mind if you want to friend me, even if it can't always be mutual.

No hard feelings intended. Any can unfriend me if they wish, at any time, as always. I'm not the sort to invent drama over it, and I hope you won't be either.

My uncle Bill has died. I feel bad for my father, as Bill was his only sibling. I didn't see Bill often, and it was expected as he was ill for a long time, but he was a sweet guy and I'm sorry for his wife, kids, and brother. All the best, mine kinfolk.

I'm sorry, [livejournal.com profile] raethe. I put semisweet chocolate into the strawberry-choc cheesecake instead of white chocolate. It's the kind of thing I can't change about myself.

It makes me feel better knowing you guys are out there. Even if I don't say it much, being a reserved woman with a defensively sarcastic streak. Those of you under current hardships: hang in there. I do think about you.

Over and out.

It's all good :)
Is it ok if I keep you on my friends list though?

Yes, that is fine. No worries. :)

Cool. I like reading your rambles about books and films :)

Hey - on a lighter note, why not the drama? Then we could all be on LJ Drama, right? It would be like old times on the infamous Cure Chat. Who knows, maybe Willi could ask you if you could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch or the like and then you could try to get Willi and Raethe (why him? - because he's the obvious ringleader, of course) "K-lined" from LJ? :)

Hell, let's invent drama! Between the two of us, we should be able to come up with something.

[P.S - I'm sorry to hear about your uncle passing away - my condolences to you and your family...]

K-lined! Man, I haven't thought of that term for a while. :D If only we had another minor celebrity around to heighten the profile of our drama. Preferably one I could make barbed "jailbait" comments to.

Anyhoo, thanks for the condolences. That side of the family lives out where I've never even been (in Buffalo), so it doesn't affect me much; but it's too bad it has to fall in the Xmas season and all that...

Molly, how can you do this when my people are in bondage?

Sorry to hear about your uncle *hugs* My condolences to his family, may they find peace knowing that he has as well.

And it must be swell to be so popular that you have to weed out your friends list ;)

Thank you. And, hehee, well, I'm not really that popular; I'm just picky about how much I have to read on the friends list.

Hey Mol, just wanted to publicly say thank you for always having a reply to my posts. My friends list isn't big at all, so it's nice to know that I'm not the only one reading my stuff.

Sorry about your uncle. One of mine died in Vietnam so obviously I never knew him, but it still is hard to see my dad and grandma get sad when he's brought up in conversations. I know how ya feel.

Thank you - yeah, I think this kind of death (from natural causes) is probably somewhat less traumatic than a young Vietnam soldier's death. I have another uncle who survived Vietnam, and that doesn't seem fun either.

And if you want more readers, it often takes the initial outlay of adding them as friends first. They then have a tendency to add you back. :)

De-friending me's fine, but I'll pop in to your lj to let you know how the cartoon's coming along every so often.

Well, you haven't been de-friended, technically. You're one of those nice people I exchange lots of comments with, but have never actually added to the list. :) Anyway, yes, hope to hear how it's coming along! Drop by anytime.
