P.S. No I'm not. Did anyone else see Holes? And if so, did anyone else think of ROTK when Stanley picked up weak little Zero and carried him piggy-back up the mountain? I valiantly kept my mouth shut when watching it, but the similarity was crying out to me. Good movie, in any case. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Eartha Kitt as a gypsy; what's not to like?

I love "Holes". I bought it on DVD the day it came out. I thought that movie was so interesting. Didn't think of ROTK when Stanley carried Zero up. Though now that you mention it, it's an obvious one.

I thought the plot was quite interesting and clever too, with a fun dose of magic thrown in. Managed not to be too saccharine, for a kids' movie. It's the kind of story I hope to write someday, if I'm good enough.

I loved the book of "Holes", but never got around to seeing the film. I should rent it one of these days. Thanks for the indirect reminder! ;D

Don't worry; there are still plenty of tickets, at least around here. I think it's just us fanatics that feel the need to get opening day tickets.

I went with my g.boyfriend and poked him in the side when that scene came on. As a fellow LotR freak, he agreed mightily (and then laughed, but he's used to me by now *G*) I thought I was the only one. LOL.
