Time for gratuitous advertising:

The new e-publisher Scheherazade Tales Romance E-Novels has accepted a novel of mine! Should be due out by October; we're hammering out the final editing and contract details. I can't even give you a definite title for the story since we're trying to find a fitting one, but 'Tourist Attractions' seems a likely contender.

But in any case: the editor, Deborah, seems very friendly, capable, and hard-working, and is still looking for other new submissions. So if anyone out there has a great romance manuscript hidden away, check out their page and consider submitting it to her.

Note: you will not get rich this way. Very few authors do. But PUBLICATION, baby, yeah!

Naturally I'll spam this space with more advertising once the book is ready for sale. Cheerio--

Congratulations!

Hey Molly, long time no see!

I am so excited by this amazing news of yours! WELL DONE a hundred times over! You must be so thrilled to have something accepted for publication and even if you don't get rich who cares as long as someone is paying to read your stuff (which is more than anyone will ever do for me!)

I am so happy for you and thrilled to be sharing this wonderful news. Go knock 'em dead with your talent!

Amanda

Oooh, jungle-Lijah! Gorgeous new icon, there.

Anyhoo: Thanks! It probably won't amount to a whole lot, but it's a start. And don't be too quick to assume you'll never get a penny for writing fiction. For one thing you're a good writer. For another, I'm surprised as hell that this got accepted. But at least they're only planning to sell the stories for $1 each, so I won't feel that anyone got ripped off by buying it. :)

Enjoy your English rain...we could really use some of it here. So dusty. Ick.

Cheers,
Molly

I've had a look at their website. I think selling the ebooks for one dollar is a brilliant idea. You shouldn't have to pay as much for an ebook as you do for a paper one, right?Perhaps I'll submit some of my failed novels to them, you never know!

Definitely, submit something! Always worth a try. And sometime I'll scan my large collection of rejection letters, just to inspire others. :)

Yeah, practically no overhead for e-publishing, in comparison to print, one would think. Except for web-hosting fees and things. I'm hoping ebooks are indeed the wave of the future as people are hoping/claiming. At one dollar apiece I might actually buy them myself.

Take care,
Molly
