Pretty pretty Legolas

The "Which Legolas Are You?" Quiz:
In case the link dies someday, here's what I got:
"You're 'Council of Elrond' Legolas: a little interested in certain shiny gold things, and you sit by some pretty girly-looking elves, but in the end you decide you'd rather have perfect hair than some silly gold ring."
So true. Perfect hair is worth way more than its weight in gold.
Too bad, though...the Aragorn-Stalking Legolas looked like a juicy one.

Date: 2002-07-19 10:48 am (UTC)I thank you kindly! Yeah, it's only been a month or two since I wrote the fanfic essay, but I'm already softer toward the subject. It does really depend on the pairing. When I first saw the Frodo/Sam stuff, I hadn't read the books, and thus didn't realize that Tolkien had already done half the work in setting up a "relationship" between them--practically sent engraved invitations to slashers of the future. :)
Kirk and Spock...eek, yeah, that's a stretch. Nowhere near as believable as the Mulder/Scully pairings. (Since those two actually did end up together.)
Unfortunately my Legolas acquaintance doesn't look all that much like Orlando in person, but those photos were too similar to pass up. Maybe if I got him to bleach his hair and do some little braids...

Date: 2002-07-19 12:01 pm (UTC)I certainly wouldn't want to see Gandalf in any slash stories. I tried reading one once and it squicked me. I thought to myself, "No, I'd much prefer it if you kept your clothes on, thank you". There just has to be someone in Middle-earth who is above that sort of thing, and for me Gandalf is definitely that person!

Oh, and Treebeard or the other Ents--stories have been written, but yikes, that just doesn't sound plausible to me. Talk about splinters!
