Woo-hoo! New ROTK pictures on Lord of the Rings.net!
[Edit, 5/23/03: On second thought, don't bother going there. Go here instead for new high-resolution versions! Sweet!]
Including...
Aragorn in stars-and-white-tree-of-Gondor regalia!
Sam with the star-glass!
Frodo attractively draped with spiderwebs!
Eowyn being snuggly!
Faramir looking good!
Pippin looking feisty!
Legolas giving Aragorn a neck rub! (Well, that's what it looks like...)
I am deeply stoked. And have exceeded my quota of exclamation points for the day.
Think I'll try to see Down With Love this weekend, in other movie news. Not quite ready for the new Matrix yet, since I don't remember the first one well enough and should probably re-watch it first. Also...I'm sorry, but I have to say this:
You know those tie-in commercials where Matrix characters are serving beer and then kicking butt in a cheesy advertising-whore kind of way? I would just like to point out that you will never see hobbits doing that.
Thank you; that's all.

Date: 2003-05-17 09:33 am (UTC)Though, Legolas really has the better figure for a V.S. model.

Date: 2003-05-17 07:42 pm (UTC)Would you mind terribly if I used a quote from yout TTT parody in an icon? I thought I'd use your dream sequence scene to replace my VSD icon. Let me know if you object.

Date: 2003-05-18 10:04 pm (UTC)Seems Victoria's Secret makes an awful lot of thongs, so maybe that would be the likelier style. Not that I'm picturing Legolas in one, or anything. Of course not.
*cough*

Date: 2003-05-16 07:19 pm (UTC)Mmmm, Eowyn being snuggly. And I had the exact same reaction to the Legolas/Aragorn picture... ;D

"With Arwen safely on her way out of Middle-earth forever, Legolas decided that his time had come. Subtly, he began making the moves on Aragorn..."

Date: 2003-05-17 09:40 am (UTC)Aragorn: Um...is that your bow against my left shoulder, or are you just happy to travel the Paths of the Dead with me?
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: 2003-05-17 10:09 am (UTC)Am so L'ing MAO!
Brilliant! (or maybe it is just the light?) lol
Re: ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: 2003-05-17 01:05 pm (UTC)A lot of these are begging for snarky captions, actually.

Date: 2003-05-17 08:50 am (UTC)There are quite a few ROTK pics floating around the net lately and all of them just serve to make me even more anxious to see the damn movie! LOL Aragorn and Faramir really look yummy and Eomir is easy on the eye too...My gosh, A. washed his hair! *faint*
Another wonderful site for all those pervy LOTR fans: http://www.warofthering.net/photos/
Re: More pictures
Date: 2003-05-17 01:00 pm (UTC)Hehe...everyone seems to be noticing Aragorn's clean hair. Well, it would be hard to be kingly when one is so greasy.
Clean hair
Date: 2003-05-18 01:03 am (UTC)Have you noticed that the lightbulb resembles Merry's perfectly shaped carrot and might replace Gandalf's pointy hat trick!
Frodo mumbles...Oh, turn me on, Sam! LOL

Date: 2003-05-17 01:10 pm (UTC)Well, I'm sure that wasn't their intention, really. But it's so much fun to make those comments while we wait in agonizing impatience for the actual movie to get here.
Agony indeed

Date: 2003-05-17 03:07 pm (UTC)Oh, I'm not a fangirl or anything. ^_^ She needs hugs. I shall supply them. Tackle-hugs, at that.
And about the tie-in commercials- maybe the hobbits would never do ordinary ones, but I think they could be convinced to do Canadian beer commercials. Shall try my very hardest, anyway.

World Tour, Media Whore
Date: 2003-05-17 08:45 pm (UTC)Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I saw Miss Piggy doing a Denny's commercial the other day and all I could think of was Damn that media whore of a swine! You'd never see Fozzie Bear or Gonzo sell out to the Man like that. They're staying true to their cred and are keepin' it real. Unlike that little money porker, you won't see them frontin' for a chance to cop a couple of Gs from ole Mr. Money Bags... no way... and man, don't get me started on that James Earl Jones dude...
Just you wait - Viggo will be doing Exxon commercials wearing a shirt that says “Money for Oil and My Chicks for Free”. Sean Astin's future will be pitching insurance policies on TV, a la John Astin, once all this hullabaloo blows over. Your other beloved hobbits will be wishing they had kicked some butt media-whore style...
P.S. - And, I hope you know I'm just fooling with you, Lemon. :)
Re: World Tour, Media Whore
Date: 2003-05-18 10:21 pm (UTC)I'm just waiting to be proven wrong, of course. I can see it now: Frodo and Sam reach the top of Mt. Doom, dying of thirst and fatigue, and an eagle swoops in and drops...a bottle of Pepsi.
*shudder* Please, Lord, no...

Matrix Reloaded
Date: 2003-05-21 01:29 pm (UTC)I work for an IT company and knowing the industry had me killing myself laughing in the movie at certain points. I can think of one scene that has a great potential for a Lord of the Rings tie-up with the Matrix - several lovely possibilities, which had me crawling laughing. (If Neo only opened ONE more door, I am sure he would have found the nine companions, or Elrond...lol)
Don't worry if what I say sounds like Greek. I know if you see the movie you will know what I am talking about...let me know if/when you've seen it as I would love to hear your opinion!
