What is the local currently-hip slang word or phrase that you refuse to use?

I'm not saying it has to offend you (like calling stupid stuff "gay") - just something you don't use, because it isn't you.

For me, here in northern California, it's "hella." (Both as "very" and as "a lot of": "That test was hella hard." "He got hella bruises from snowboarding.") I thought it was extremely bizarre when I first heard it. I'm getting used to it now, but I still don't use it myself. I would feel like a poser if I did; like one of those sad teachers trying to sound cool. Even though I'm not exactly ancient.

Anyway. What is it in your area?

Erm, vaguely recall the Kriss Kross kiddies saying "wiggidy, wiggidy whack", actually.

"That buggy is so wiggidy, dood!"

Yes, I remember Kriss Kross saying "wiggedy wiggedy wack". I never took them seriously, as they couldn't even dress properly. They put their clothes on BACKWARDS for crying out loud.

I haven't heard any local slang that I refuse to use. I don't speak ebonics, so a lot of the slang that goes with that just goes straight over my head. I think I use the word "y'all" far too much though.

Oh btw, I'm another person that added you to friends list after reading TTT parody.

"wiggin" (unless you are an Orson Scott Card fan) used to mean upset, or freaking out...

Like in Say Anything, when Lloyd Dobbler gets upset at his buds, and they start rapping (white guy style) with:

"He's wiggin, He's Wiggin, he's wiggidy wiggidy wiggidy wiggidy wiggin!"

It's kind of in the background of the scene... but, um... yeah.

A subtle scene, but a very entertaining one. There are many such, in that movie. :)

I vaguely remember Say Anything. I use "wiggin out" as "getting upset".
