Two great bits of publishing news:

An old entry of mine (http://lemonlye.livejournal.com/85020.html) made it into the LJ Turns 10 anthology! Apparently it's due out in print-on-demand next month. Fun!

And an old novel of mine, recently refurbished, got accepted at The Wild Rose Press as a contemporary romance! It's called Summer Term, and I'm sure I'll bore you later with the details and excerpts. For now, "yay" is all!

Sheesh, brag, brag, brag. All you do is brag. What's your problem?

;-)

( Congrats! )

I used to worry it seemed like bragging. Now I know it's self-marketing. ;)

Btw, sorry I still haven't answered your email(s). What with all the crazy babyness going on in my life, I may have to beg amnesty on much of my correspondence with many people.

Most excellent! I have always loved your writing, and it's a Good Thing that it's getting a chance for an ever-wider audience.

How are the boys? And how tired is their mama? ;-)

Oy, the tired, it burns! But I suppose this is about the worst phase of it, this newborn era with a toddler to boot. I keep telling myself that, anyway.

Anyway, thank you! :D

why in the name of God's green trousers would they?!?
You're not writing about "transcendent flights of pink flamingos" are you? Or frilly knickers? Either of those, I can see complaints coming in, from me if nobody else.

FTR, I thought the SoAI in The Ghost Downstairs were lovely, and just a touch unsettling, just as it should be.

Thank you! (For reading the book at all, but also the remark on the SoAI.) The scenes in The Ghost Downstairs stayed on the tactful side of the line, I figure. In Summer Term they may stray across into some people's definition of graphic. Even so, I figure most readers don't mind at all, and even like it. It just becomes a tad weird when I think of, say, my neighbors and relatives reading it. :)

Still, no pink flamingo flights nor frilly knickers, nor anyone's loins being hammered with the fist of desire, nor his boiling tribute erupting inside her. Maybe next time. :D

Had a few minutes and thought I'd see what you'd been up to in the past couple of weeks...huzzah for your writing being awesome and for other people recognizing how awesome it is!

I loved that post about LJ...it's so true. I can't tell you how many times people have come down on me like a ton of bricks because I had the temerity to find something funny that they thought was VRY SRS BIZNZ KTHNX. And my love of Summer Term is an abiding love, yea verily.

Thank you! Yeah, there is a certain contingent for whom much comedy is just offensive. I can never relate to that, since for me (and, thankfully, others) comedy is in fact a coping skill.
