Hmm, diapers or a book; it's always the quandary I face when browsing Amazon. Just like 11% of the population, apparently.

I do like the items that have shown up (and sometimes vanished again) on the Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought section: What Does Mrs. Claus Do? by my sister Kate Wharton, of course; the DVD of the Colin Firth Pride & Prejudice; The Ghost and Mrs. Muir by R.A. Dick; and the DVD of Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Getting lumped with Joss Whedon, even by a computer, for one day once upon a time, is a high honor.

On a related tangent, I'm really enjoying the book. I'm a cliche of a reader - I was up late in bed with it, and had trouble stopping after each new chapter.

On the other hand, I will never voluntarily buy diapers.

The book seems well-suited for a TV mini-series at the very least. Though I'm sure you wouldn't turn down the offer, I suspect a single feature film might rush things too much. You seem to have enough cliffhangers to support a episodic structure over time.

By the way... have I been tricked into reading young adult fiction?

Worse yet, you've been tricked into reading romance! This one isn't young adult, but by reading the Harry Potter series, of course, you've already read plenty of YA anyway.

A back-burner project idea is to turn Ghost into a screenplay. Of course I'd love to see each scene lovingly crafted for miniseries-length, but I bet I could do a good feature-length adaptation too. Would be easy enough to film--practically all takes place inside one building; not too many special effects.

I ordered your book a few weeks ago from my local bookstore. They said it would take awhile since it had to come from Tennessee but I would've thought it'd be here by now. May have to be part of that 89%.

Yep! She wrote that kids' book a couple of years back; it just got released last Xmas. Nowadays she works more on screenplays, and is doing her best to get one produced. Tough market to crack, but much better pay.
