A new era...
Jan. 20th, 2009 08:36 amIt is truly a new era.
I have, at last, updated from Mac OS 10.3.9 and am successfully running Leopard, 10.5.6. This in turn has allowed me to get my beautiful, sweet little new iPod Touch running.
It's so different from my old heavy white iPod classic. Back then, there was no WiFi, nothing fancy, just music. I went out in the world with the earbuds, and it was just me and the 'Pod. Now it's the entire world in there too. It's...a bit distracting, but pretty! And my son loves the super-simple touch/shake games like Balloons and Dice and Scribble.
AND, I must point out, there is a free ebook reader for the iPod/iPhone! It's called Stanza--do a search and you'll find it. And it reads many many formats, and can download your Fictionwise bookshelf if you have an account there. A great sign for us ebook authors.
Anyway--Mac people who are similarly updated, you can share your favorite tricks and tips now if you like.
Ciao!

Date: 2009-01-20 08:15 pm (UTC)I figure once I get past the dazzle factor of all the new features, I'll go back to mainly listening to podcasts and music. It's kind of awkward surfing the web on it anyway... :)

Date: 2009-01-20 08:50 pm (UTC)But my ipod classic still holds the throne for all out music selection. The 16gb iphone can't hold a candle to 160gb of music and movies. but for overall usefulness, the phone kicks butt.
*looks up Stanza*
