Trying out this embedded YouTube thing...

And I suppose the fact that I chose this video, and that I find Weird Al a brilliant lyricist, means I, too, am white and nerdy.

Remark on the song: the Gap is nerdy? I suppose it is, compared to where gangstas shop, but I bet Target, Wal-Mart, and Big K have outfitted a lot more nerds than the Gap has.

And, dude, was that Seth Green in the action figure shot?

Yes. Seth Green is almost an action figure himself.

Have you seen the "Take one" with just Al and Donnie in front of the green screen? Worth a boo.

Hee--I just saw it thanks to someone else's link. Too funny.

Weird Al *is* brilliant. It's a fact, not opinion. :-)

Wikipedia claims that you did indeed catch Seth Green (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seth_Green) in the video.

Sure, but what happens when you want to have a romantic evening out looking at a lunar eclipse? ;-)

Apparently he can control that now--just saw an episode claiming so, anyway... :)

Ah, that's right. I had forgotten that he had gone traveling and found a way to control the transformations.

Surely a sign that I need to re-watch the series!

Yes, that was totally Seth in the action figure shot - and the brilliant Donny Osmond dancing behind Al later on.

There's a vid of Donny Osmond dancing to the entire song on youtube as well - I embedded it in my journal a while ago. I have such a crush on DO after seeing what a good sport he is (and quite a hot dancer for a white nerd!) Here's the link - if you haven't seen it and are interested:

Hahaha! Quite funny and, you're right, rather adorable. Making fun of himself is a useful trait--look where it got Shatner!

Cultural Counterfeit for Fun....

So, I must see this um, Gentleman when he is in town next time around as Kalquessa and Mathphilebill (as well as people in their millions) appreciate his humor; I see why. I couldn't quite catch the field theory equation Al had in some of the back drops, but he seems to do detail level design well.

He's quite funny, and has been at it for at least 20 years since I can remember enjoying his parody songs when I was about 10 years old.

As for the equation, Wikipedia claims: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_&_Nerdy)

---
The equation in the background of the chorus is Schrödinger's wave equation for the hydrogen atom; however, there is an error in that Planck's constant (denoted h) is displayed in place of Dirac's constant.

Well, I wouldn't have known the equation without the internet's help, but I did memorize pi to 20 or 30 digits in high school for no particular reason... :)

Lemondrop is one lucky boy. (Of course, I encourage everyone to memeorize Pi to fifty places, which is useful in certain situations, most of them having to do with trivia contests with Mathmatics majors....)
