Post this in your journal, asking your friendslist (or whatever stranger that happens to wander by) to respond with whatever they know about you. It can be as matter of fact as 'Your name is Bridget, you're 25 and attending Harvard.' to the absolutely useless 'One Thursday, you tried to hop down a flight of stairs and you fell on your face'.

I think it may vary state to state here. I actually don't recall. But I know that for a recent election, at least in Washington here, you had to declare yourself to a single party in order to vote in the primaries, and then you only got to choose among that party's candidates. This might have been nationwide; I don't remember. Think it was to avoid having the Democrats choose their easiest-to-defeat Republican candidate and vote him into the candidacy, or vice-versa. :)
