I had the loveliest dream...

Celebrity make-out dreams bless me with a visit once in a while. They're usually quite delightful. I ought to keep a running list of all the celebs I've snuggled up to in my dreams--they have included some remarkable characters.

But last night's was very standard fangirl fare: I was cuddling up to Orlando Bloom. Got in a few good snogs, too.

Complex dream analysis: I want to be loved. I want to be envied. I want to be recognized by the famous and beautiful. I want to be great and gorgeous myself. I am a latent nymphomaniac.

Simple dream analysis: Orlando Bloom is hot. I sure would like to kiss him.

I've always been a believer in Occam's Razor, myself. (blows you all a K.I.S.S.*)

You're lucky. My celebrity dreams tend to be just as irrational as any of my other dreams, which is to say you'd think I do LSD before I go to bed. For example, I remember dreaming that Nigel Bennett and I were walking together down a busy street en route to a local Baptist church to audition for roles in an opera. But when we got to the church, the inside was like a Renfaire, and IIRC, not only was everybody in period dress, but there were barnyard animals wandering around inside the church.

To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Bennett does not sing opera. I certainly don't. I have no idea whether we got the roles or not.

And no, I've never had my dreams analyzed. I don't want to know. :D

Oh, well, I do have my share of weird ones, too. But I like the make-out ones better, is all.

My dream self-analysis has not been reviewed by the American Psychiatric Association, but then I think there are some things you can over-analyze. Sometimes a Renfaire with barnyard animals and opera music is just a...Renfaire, with barnyard animals, and...yeah, you get the picture. :)

Heheh - yeesss, I think any of us non-professionals could give you a pretty accurate dream analysis for that one. I like those straightforward easy-to-read dreams.

As to working Orlando into the dreamworld... [Owen Wilson voice] See, you just got to apply yourself to it a little more. You got to spend more time visualizing, before you fall asleep every night, what you want out of your dreams, who you want to see, where you want to go. You got to take control of your subconscious, be bold, go wild, dare to do stuff you wouldn't usually do. If you can't mash with that hot guy in your dreams, well, when are you going to do it, you know? [/owen]

True, there's always that dash of letdown. But it's better than a bad dream--even with the relief of waking up and finding the bad dream wasn't real. I prefer the "virtual reality" of getting to enjoy the good ones for at least a short while.
