Sure, it's early, but just to get it said on time:

Happy Halloween, all!

Whether you prefer your black-garbed, spooky, homocidal horsemen with heads or without.

Oooh! I prefer them headless?

Ooooh Candy!! I hope I get just one with a razor blade in it! Momma needs a new cutting utensil!

Very nice. ; )

I loved your costume too, by the way. It's so detailed! My cousin's young son is dressing up as Frodo, but I doubt he (well, his mother actually) is obsessed to make it so authentic. It's nice to see so many LotR implications and parallels everywhere though.

Oooh I'd forgotten how good Sleepy Hollow was.

Thank you - and yes, being obsessed makes the details absolutely necessary. But it's all worth it for those people who look at my costume and happily say "Frodo!"

I'm feeling deprived... generally, Halloween isn't celebrated here in Australia. There isn't really such a thing as trick-or-treating here. I was, however, invited to a Halloween party, but no one went to much effort with the costumes. Oh, I'm wearing lots of black eye shadow - I'm a goth. Oh, I've got a white sheet wrapped around me - I'm a ghost. It's quite amusing to compare our half-efforts with your absolutely amazing Ringbearer costume. You looked brilliant. Most hobbitesque indeed.

Aw, thanks; and sorry there isn't as much recognition for good ol' Halloween down under. I heard the same from the Aussies and Kiwis I met in Scotland.

We don't really get to go trick-or-treating after childhood, but the creativity on some people's parts, in some places, is really amazing. Some of the stuff I saw last night put my costume to shame. :)
