I've always liked and admired Heath, but he only murmured and shouldered his way onto my so-called "lust list" just lately, after I saw Casanova. Yes, it's a fluffy and ridiculous film with no historical redeeming value whatsoever. But, come on. It has Heath and other lovely people looking like this and acting silly, so of course I liked it.

Now, what Heath and I would ever be doing in the same room, let alone kissing, I can't imagine. What a pity. But thanks for those sweet nighttime hours, Signore Casanova. I'll leave my window open for you.

And now, he's going to play the Joker in The Dark Knight, the upcoming Batman movie.

I really don't know if my heart can stand a movie with both Christian Bale and Heath Ledger.

Casanova was indeed a campy, goofy romp, but it had a wealth of witty, well-delivered one-liners. And Jeremy Irons. And Carnivale costumes. And Venice.

Perhaps he was giving you a kiss of apology on behalf of Australian actors, who are, after all, responsible for all the world's wars.

So true--it made me giggle more than I should have. I could hardly believe they got Jeremy Irons to be in it! But then, Lasse Hallstrom's movies tend to be pretty good, so that probably gave everyone the courage. I know it gave me the courage to rent it. :)
