I let some of you know earlier, but for the casual reader who has been watching me babble about pregnancy: I had our beautiful son one week ago, and all is well. (Taking into account the erratic sleep patterns, the unusual amounts of laundry, and the general worrying about every little thing.) However, he is awesome, and Steve is awesome, and all my relatives are awesome, so yes, things are good. He apparently shares a birthday with Mozart and Lewis Carroll, incidentally. And another source claims his b-day is also National Chocolate Cake Day. Sweet.

For those requesting cute baby (and husband) pics, here are two more...

He's damn good. I think I got the best one.
(Name that quote.)

And uh... go Seahawks. Yup.

Hey, I get to be the first to say it on LJ: Congratulations! Hope you enjoy parenthood as much as I have, and welcome to the club!

Awww congratulations! He is a beautiful baby. I hope all is well, and I wish you nothing but love and laughter for years to come. But I especially hope he starts sleeping through the night soon :) What did you guys end up naming him?

Yay more pics! *clicks first link* *dies* Daddies holding babies pics are, like, the most adorablest things EVER.

And I too will be rooting for the Seahawks. #1, because most Eagles fans are rooting for the Steelers, and my goal in life is for them to be unhappy. #2, because of you and another Seattle-ite on my flist. :) Feel the love!

I have such huge amounts of extra respect now for you and other moms. Man, they call it "labor" for a reason, don't they? :) Anyway, proud to be in the club!

Thank you! He's a Zachary. And so far he usually only requires one getting-up time during the night, but it can last for an hour or two (he nurses for long stretches), so yeah, daytime naps are good...

There is indeed much adorableness in the house now.

Aw, I do feel the love for your Seahawks support, though naturally it didn't save us. As folks have been ranting, the refs should have won MVP, since they played harder for the Steelers than anyone else. Heh.

I know--I expected lots of hair, since both the husband and I have thick heads of it, so it was good to see my prediction come true. Eye color will be harder to predict. That newborn blue often changes, and neither of us is blue-eyed...

The quote is from Raising Arizona, right?

Yes it is! Good work. Though now that I Google it, the actual quote may be, "He's awful damn good." Close enough for government work.

Somehow, I MISSED this post and the announcement of the BABE!

Congratulations - he's beautiful and obviously a genius. (And look at that head of hair! Enjoy him and being a Mom. It's the best!

(Oh, and by the way, your hubby is obviously a keeper, too!)

Thank you! Yes, I'm especially fond of his hair. It's so silky.

Moms are superheroes; I am now convinced. :)
