A note on 'Stage Beauty'

Just saw Stage Beauty. I'm sure they took some serious historical liberties, but it was fun, so I didn't mind. Much better than I expected, actually.

Which translates roughly to: "Billy Crudup, who I always knew was very handsome, is actually like even five times hotter than I realized."





And I didn't even cap the ones where he was in drag and/or kissing Ben Chaplin. LJ is too slash-heavy already; thought I'd be subversive and throw in some het content. If nothing else, it has provided me an icon or two for sex-related posts/comments. Of which I make several on a monthly basis.

Yeah, there were some huge inaccuracies, but I believe once they established that they stayed true to their "what if".

It was fun. My theatre major with a graduating project on Elizabethan theatre practices would CHOKE but it was a pretty picture.

It would be interesting to see a list sometime of all the inaccuracies. But, yeah, if you view it as an alternate universe, sort of like the world in which The Princess Bride takes place, it works better.
