Got a lovely new accolade on KnowBetter.com for my ebook 32 and Raining (published under pseudonym Daphne McLaren)...I am way stoked.

Lovely haunting little tune, isn't it? Though I hadn't made the connection till whoever-it-was designed this icon, it does fit Frodo pretty well, too. ("They say he wandered very far, very far, over land and sea...")

Aye; I'd love to see paperback form someday. Maybe after grad school I'll start bothering agents and other publishers again...

(Btw, don't think there are any elves in the new RotK pictures, except Arwen. Sorry about that.)

Does this mean there won't be a lot of the elves in RotK? I'm going to have to read the books again soon...but, yay, we still have hobbits. I'm still a little miffed that they didn't show Merry and Pippin as much as I hoped in TTT...I guess FotR was really where they had a part to play. Either way, I'm still going to preen over pictures of RotK :)

Heheh, thanks. It's oh so angsty (I was 20 when I wrote most of it), and, between us, I don't think the narrator sounds male at all. But hey. Reviewer likes it; I'm pleased. :)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure '32 and Raining' is still only available through the publisher's site (moonlitbooks.com), and it's in PDF. The ebook world will surely improve once the industry settles on some standard, easy-to-use formats...heh.

"Daphne" was one of my many chat-room names back in the day (because of Greek mythology, and for the daphne flower which smells good), and "McLaren" I think I pretty much pulled out of thin air.
